With the holidays here and New Years on the way this recipe is a total time saver. It makes plenty and you can use it for a zillion different things. Lunch, dinner, appetizers, snacks just about anything.
Taco's, quesadillas, taquitos, burritos, burrito bowls, salad, chicken salad and so on the possibilities are endless. You can season it with additional flavors to suit your dish to, bbq sauce, taco seasoning, lemon pepper, sky's the limit! Happy shredding!
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup chicken stock
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Place chicken in slow cooker. Sprinkle chicken breasts with all the spices. Add chicken stock. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Shred chicken with two forks or put in a stand mixer and let it do the work for you. Cool completely and if you want to freeze, divide into freezer bags. This makes just about eight cups total and I like to the shredded chicken into four portions with two cups each.
