One Pot Garlic Parmesan Noodles

Have you ever had that pasta in a box? The one with the seasoning packet that is full of sodium! Well I have back in my hay day when I thought everything out of a box was cooking. Here is another one pot wonder. A total time saver and super delicious. These noodles are so dang good. Like really really good! The whole family loved them.

The noodles are cooked in chicken stock and garlic! Say what? I have never thought to do that before. Then you add parmesan cheese and cream. It creates a lushish sauce that is to die for. I will be making it again and again. They turned out great!

Ingredients

3 teaspoons olive oil
5-6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
3 Tablespoons butter
3 cups chicken stock
1/2 box spaghetti pasta
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup half and half (or whole milk)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1-2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped fine

Directions

In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and stir for 1 minute. Season with some salt and pepper.

Add the chicken stock and turn the heat up to high and let it come to a boil.

Add the pasta and cook according to directions.

Take the saucepan off the heat and add the parmesan cheese and stir until completely melted.

Add the half and half (or milk) and parsley.

Add more cream or milk if necessary and serve immediately.

  3. This looks so delicious. Pinning it now! Do you think that instead of the garlic cloves themselves I can just use garlic powder?

    1. You could but the bulk of the flavor comes from the fresh garlic.
