Easy Biscuit Breakfast Sliders {Make Ahead}

Nothing is better than an easy breakfast. I know for my son who leaves at the butt crack of dawn to catch the high school bus and who never has that extra time in the morning to eat, these are a winner. All he has to do is pop one right in the microwave and walla!

The real time saver comes in using to store bought biscuits. It cuts down so much time and energy. You just pop everything in the oven at the same time  and temperature. Everything is done in 20 minutes!

Ingredients
2 cans Pillsbury Grands Southern Style Biscuits
7 whole eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon baking powder (the secret ingredient to make them puff up just enough)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
4 slices cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 12-cup whoopie pie pan with non-stick spray. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with a silpat or parchment.

In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, baking powder, salt, pepper, and oregano until just combined. Divide the egg mixture evenly to each 12 whoopie pie cups in a whoopie pie tin.  (this makes the perfect size egg for the biscuits) Sprinkle as much or as little of your optional toppings. A little of this or a little of that.

Bake the eggs for about 15-20 minutes or until egg is set. Bake the biscuits according to the package directions.

Let the eggs cool 5 minutes, then using a knife, loosen up the edges of each egg and carefully remove.

Slice each biscuit in half place the egg, cheese and bacon on bottom. top with other half of biscuit.

Serve warm or wrap tightly with freezer paper and saran wrap. Freeze and when ready to use microwave for approximately 2 minutes.

  4. Hi Rina! I love to have easy and delicious grab-n-go breakfasts for my family. I just have 2 questions. Does the baking powder go in the biscuit or egg? What is a whoopie pie cup? Maybe I should just google it instead of admitting I don't know. LOL! Can't wait to give this recipe a try. As always, thanks for sharing this with all of our Let's Get Real readers.

    1. Hi Christina! I have corrected the directions. A whoopie pie cup is a cup in a whoopie pie tin. Basically a much shallower and slightly larger muffin tin. :)
