What do you all eat as your main dish for Christmas? Beef, Ham, Pork, Pasta, Lasagna???? Well if you happen to make the Christmas ham which always has some leftover, I give you the ultimate left over soup to make. My dad has been making this soup for as long as I can remember. This year since my schedule has been so hectic I decided to make it in the slow cooker. Well this totally did not disappoint in any way shape or form.

I hope everyone's ready for Christmas! I am just about there. Just some last minute gifts and wrapping to do. Every year we split Christmas eve, day and evening between all the in-laws and parents. We get spread pretty thin but it's worth it all. So being that we have all these places to go I always make a dish, or appetizer.

With all of the holiday food consumption that takes place during the holidays I always find myself needing a detox after the holiday season. I think most of you can agree with me here! I have been a huge fan of the New Eat Smart Gourmet Salad Kits since I first laid eyes on them. They have so many delicious and healthy combinations. Not only do they have Eat Smart Salad Kits, they also have Stir Fry Kits are the fast and flavorful way to eat your veggies every day. Each kit is packed with five to seven delicious and beneficial superfoods.

You guys it's pouring here. Like raining cats and dogs nor'easter style pouring. I wish it was snow. Snow is so much prettier. So I am not leaving my house and I am not getting out of my Pj's at all today! I am going to make slow cooker chowder and stay warm. Just thought I would share that with you. Now onto this fabulous dish. I love french toast. I love french toast in every way shape and form. Stuffed, baked, casseroles like this.

A friend of mine had given me a bottle of apple pie vodka. Interesting right? It had me intrigued. Not something I would normally drink. So after giving it a taste test it became apparent that it needed to turn into sangria. It was the best sangria I have ever has ever! It was meant to be and there was none and I mean none left.

Wow December already! November flew by. Time to go into full swing Christmas mode. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. If you follow me here you may have seen that right before Thanksgiving my lovely farmer friends gave us and abundance of fresh cut winter veggies. There was so many I had to give a ton away! Thankfully I had not gone shopping for Thanksgiving yet. So needless to say we had a smorgasbord of veggie sides for Turkey day. One dish included these. I make them every year but this year I decided to change things up a bit.
