Open Faced Meatball Parmesan Sammies

This is a fork and knife kinda sandwich.
Tender soft flavorful meatballs with your favorite tomato sauce all on top of garlic bread covered with melted cheese.
Yes please!
The kiddo's and the other half are sure to approve.
I know mine did.
Perfect for a week night dinner.
This would be an awesome make ahead meal.
 These babies can be made ahead of time and assembled whenever you are ready.
You can't beat that.


1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese 
3 tablespoons milk
1 large egg 
1 tablespoon grated onion 
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt 
1/4 teaspoon pepper 
3 cups of your "go to" tomato sauce
6 slices, garlic texas toast, toasted
6 (1 ounce) slices fresh mozzarella or 1½ cups shredded mozzarella


Combine first 10 ingredients; shape into 1-inch balls (golf ball size).

Brown meatballs in a large skillet over medium heat; drain. Wipe skillet clean with a paper towel.

Add tomato sauce. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, 5 minutes. Return meatballs to skillet; cover and cook, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes or until meatballs are no longer pink. Spoon over toast. Place cheese on top and broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted.
