Parmesan Couscous with Fresh Herbs

Let's start Monday off with a super simple and super fresh dish. Who doesn't love a 10 minute side dish? I could honestly eat this for a meal. I {heart} couscous. It compliments just about any protein and it's a winner with the kids. Not to mention it's so purdy! You cant go wrong making this a side with any meal.

1 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
3/4 cup uncooked couscous
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2  teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

In a small saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Stir in couscous. Cover and remove from the heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork. Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Sprinkle in fresh herbs and toss gently. Serve warm or room temperature.
