BBQ Chicken Breast with Homemade Honey BBQ Sauce

Love me some barbecued chicken. Actually I love me some barbecued anything. You know it's summer time when all you do is grill anything you can find.  These baby's are super saucy with a sweet honey bbq sauce. They are perfect for your fourth of July cookout. Serve alongside some corn and my Perfect Macaroni Salad.
Have a wonderful 4th of July!

4-6 Chicken breasts, bone in skin on
salt and pepper

1 cup Onion, Chopped Small
2 cloves Garlic, Minced
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 cup Ketchup
½ cups Maple Syrup
¼ teaspoons Brown Mustard
¼ cups Lite Brown Sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup molasses
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
¼ teaspoons Pepper
¼ teaspoons Salt
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

In a sauce pan saute the onion and garlic with some olive oil. When onion is just about caramelized add ketchup, maple syrup, brown mustard, lite brown sugar, honey, salt and pepper and cayenne pepper. Stir all together then bring to a boil, lower heat and let reduce down about 20 minutes.

Heat your grill to 350 degrees F.

Cook chicken breasts turning them about every five minutes and sauce with each turn, until internal temperature reads 170 degrees F.
