Snickerdoodles

Can I just tell you this is the first time I have ever made these or even eaten them! Where have they been all my life? Whats wrong with me? Cinnamony goodness in a nice chewy cookie oh my gosh! They are the best.

Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 TB sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Mix together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt together. Set aside.
Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs and blend well.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix well.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. (Makes about 4 dozen cookies)

  3. Hi, Just stopped by from the meet & greet blog hop! I am in need of some new recipes and I look forward to bouncing in here for some new routine in the kitchen and for all those tastebuds of mine that are soooo bored with the usual:) This looks like a good one to begin with, I have always loved these cookies and they are so tough to find unless you make.
