NY Strip Steak With Horseradish Compound Butter

What do I think of for dinner for Valentines Day or even just date night? STEAK! I am a firm believer it is a way to any mans heart. Now when you add this butter to these steaks he may just love you even more. There is something about horseradish that complements any steak so well. There is also something about butter that compliments steak even better. I love compound butters. I like to make them to. They are super easy to put together. So why not put these two ingredients together. Well the flavor combination did not disappoint  I served these along with baked potatoes, steamed snow crab and roasted broccoli. 
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened 
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, squeeze out the moisture
2 teaspoons fresh parsley, minced
kosher salt
fresh cracked black pepper
6 NY Strip Steaks, cooked to your liking. I pan fried mine in butter.

In a medium bowl, mix and mash together first five ingredients. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spoon onto plastic wrap. Gently form into a small log. Refrigerate until firm. Slice into 6 pieces and place on hot steaks.

  3. Steak...mmmmm :). We're not big fans of horseradish though. Hubby thinks he's allergic to it.
