White Chocolate Cake Batter Popcorn

Danggggg....as Joe Dirt would say. Very very funny movie if you haven't ever seen it. Anyways, I made this addicting sugary goodness with my daughter for a get together with friends we had. She just had to make a snack for everyone to. Why not have cake batter popcorn along with chips, dip, and some wings. I really don't know where this recipe originated from, there are so many on the internet. But whomever did come up with it deserves a big shout out! It's colorful, sweet, very sweet, salty, and highly addictive. There I warned ya!

Ingredients
1 bag of popcorn, popped  (I used plain)
8 ounces of white chocolate, melted (I used Ghiradelli white chocolate and a handful of white chocolate melts) 
4 heaping teaspoons of yellow cake mix
Rainbow Sprinkles


Directions
Pop popcorn and spread out on a paper towel, removing any kernels or burnt pieces, and place in a large bowl. 

Melt chocolate in a double boiler or use the microwave, I have no luck ever when trying to microwave chocolate. So I use the old fashioned method. You would try like I did and microwave in 30 second intervals until melted and smooth.

Stir in cake mix until smooth, then stir in about 3 teaspoons of sprinkles. Immediately pour over popcorn. Mix with a wooded spoon.

Pour out onto wax paper or into a wax-paper lined jelly roll pan and spread into a single layer. Sprinkle with sprinkles more sprinkles, then let cool and harden. Break into pieces and enjoy!
