Ingredients
For the Marinade:
1-Bottle of you favorite barbecue sauce
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the kebabs:
1 1/2 ponds sirloin steak cut into 1 inch cubes
1 pint grape or cherry tomatoes
1 large vidalia onion cut into 1 inch pieces
Roughly 20 long bamboo skewers
Directions
Mix the marinade ingredients together in a bowl and add the meat. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, preferably several hours or even overnight. The longer the more tasty, I think.
Soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling. This will help prevent them from completely burning up on the grill.
Be Careful not to poke yourself,(I always get myself at least once) thread the meat and vegetables onto double bamboo skewers, making sure you alternate the meat, tomato and onion.
Heat grill on high heat. Grill for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on your grill, and how you like your meat cooked, turning occasionally. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Yum! This sounds great! I've been trying to decide what to grill this weekend. . .
ReplyDeletelovely. I think grilling and food on skewers is one of the best summer perks :)
