Spicy Roasted Broccoli

Ever since I came up with my roasted cauliflower recipe I have been obsessed with roasted vegetables. So with this broccoli I figured I would kick it up a notch. Why have plain old broccoli when you can make it taste so much better! During the warmer months I have an obsession with grilled veggies. You will see those soon.....


1 large head of broccoli, washed and separated
2 small cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbs olive oil
1 tbs Turmeric
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 tsp Salt or more to taste
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Juice of 1 Lemon

Preheat the oven to 425°F. 

 In a bowl, combine the broccoli, garlic, red pepper flakes turmeric, salt, pepper. Add the olive oil and lemon juice and toss.
Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet lines with parchment paper and bake for around 40 minutes or until browned, turning once.

  1. I, too, love roasted vegetables! I haven't tried adding spiciness to broccoli, yet. Definitely going to now!
